What is Reflexology?
A therapeutic method of relieving pain by stimulating predefined pressure points on the feet, hands and ears. This controlled pressure alleviates the source of discomfort. Reflexologists work from the maps of predefined pressure points that are located on the feet, hands and ears.  Also based on the theory that there are reflex points on the feet, hands and ears linked to every part of the body.  Reflexology is Nature’s “push-button” secret for vibrant health, more dynamic living, abundant personal energy, better living without pain.  There are over 7,000 nerve endings in one foot, consisting of 26 bones – 28 if you count the sesamoid bones.

What can I expect at my First Reflexology Appointment?
In a typical reflexology treatment, the therapist  and client would actually meet before the therapy itself.  At this discussion, you’ll  cover your specific concerns or issues.  This helps the therapist  to focus more accurately on how to treat you, right down to which pressure points will be getting the most attention.    An Intake form will be filled out by client and a disclosure form.

The reflexologist will take note of any congested tissue and feel for any underlying issues. Then will their thumb to tap out any congested  tissue therefore making the body heal itself naturally.  Always be hydrated if all else possible.  I try to encorporate soothing  music and armomatherapy in my settings to create the ultimate relaxation experience.  By the end of the session you will be feeling more relaxed and less tension.  “Put Your Body & Mind Back In Tune”.
